A fierce clash broke out between the two groups in Nalanda, the home district of the chief minister, on Friday during a procession marking the end of Ram Navami. The uproar is said to have started after stone pelting from a religious place in Dewanganj area of Laheri police station area. During the sloganeering of the procession, after stone-pelting, people from both the sides clashed with each other. Angry people also started arson. People from one side fired. In this, six youths involved in the procession were injured. The condition of two is serious. Earlier, 9 people including two girls were injured in the blockade.
People are not agreeing even after explaining by the police
As soon as the incident was reported, the police team has reached the spot. The police first tried to convince people from both sides. People did not agree. After this the police chased the people away. Police is miking and appealing to the people to maintain peace. A dozen people have been injured in the blockade. According to the local people, the procession was taken out by one of the parties on the occasion of the conclusion of Ram Navami. The procession was passing through a religious place in Diwanganj area. Meanwhile, people from some side started pelting stones. On seeing this, the people of the other side also became furious and started pelting stones from both the sides. Meanwhile, some anti-social elements of Diwanganj area opened fire. In this, the tension further increased after two youths involved in the procession were injured.
